i5 Technology Group is actively seeking skilled IT Project Managers who prefers consulting opportunities as independent (1099) contractors. This temporary contract position offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and presents the potential for extension and additional project assignments as new opportunities arise. As a Technical Project Manager with i5 TG, you'll lead and oversee IT projects, acting as a bridge between our service delivery team and the customer management team. You'll be responsible for preparing project execution plans, identifying both technical and business resource requirements, monitoring project progress, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering regular status reports. In addition, you'll assess project-related issues and implement effective solutions to achieve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals. Your role will also include providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients. Successful candidates will have the chance to take on additional projects with i5 TG as they become available, further expanding your consulting portfolio and professional experience. • *Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.** • NO THIRD PARTIES Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects with a focus on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions. • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets—and keep them on track with only minimal caffeine-induced panic. • Facilitate requirements gathering, scope definition, sprint planning, and release coordination. • Coordinate resources across technical, functional, and external teams. • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies with professional-level foresight. • Deliver clear and frequent status updates to stakeholders and leadership. Business & Technical Alignment • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements • Work closely with admins, developers, and business owners to keep deliverables aligned and optimized. • Evaluate and recommend Microsoft 365 and SharePoint capabilities to support business goals. • Ensure governance, security, and compliance considerations are incorporated into project work. Change Management & Adoption • Support rollout planning, communications, training, and user adoption strategies. • Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions without leaving users in a digital identity crisis. • Gather and analyze feedback to refine features and drive continuous improvement. Required Qualifications • 5-7 years of IT project management experience. • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification, or 10 – 15 years of IT project management experience • Hands-on experience with SharePoint and/or Microsoft 365 (creating and updating document libraries, lists, MS Teams, etc…) • Solid grasp of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid). • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels—yes, including that VP who loves 7 a.m. meetings. • Experience coordinating technical teams and business stakeholders. • Proficiency in requirements documentation, user stories, test planning, and process mapping. • Thrive in fast-paced, highly collaborative, occasionally ambiguous environments. • Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources in a complex environment. • Ability to meet government client eligibility requirements, if applicable. Desired Qualifications • Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, compliance, security roles). • SharePoint design or low-code experience (PowerApps, Power Automate, metadata models). • PMP, CSM, or similar certification. • Experience in government contracting or regulated industries. • Familiarity with Copilot readiness, cloud governance, or AI-enabled workplace tools. • Vendor management and contract oversight experience. • Strong business analysis skills. • Data literacy—comfortable using metrics to inform decisions. Requirements REQUIRED • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field 3-5 years of project management and related experience • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification preferred • Advance knowledge of MS Suite of tools specifically MS Project & Excel (VLOOKUP’s, index, match, pivot tables) • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks • Proven ability to solve problems creatively • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (JIRA), methodologies, and best practices • Experience seeing projects through the full lifecycle • Excellent analytical skills• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline STRONGLY PREFERRED Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Advanced or Master’s degree preferred • Experience working with SharePoint Online • Experience working with ServiceNow • Have knowledge of ITIM (IT Investment Management) principals & processes.
