Overview I-Tul is seeking an experienced Senior Laravel Developer to join our team as a technical leader for multiple custom software projects. In this role, you will manage and collaborate with our India and PHT (Philippines) engineering teams, ensure code quality, and work closely with leadership on architecture, development standards, and delivery. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on development and mentoring, and who thrives in a fast-moving, engineering-focused environment. Compensation: $45–$75 per hour (W-2 employee, with benefits) Why You’ll Love Working Here • Work directly with the CTO of a long-established California software company • Lead distributed teams and work on real-world, high-impact systems • Flexible scheduling with a fully remote team • Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees Key Responsibilities • Lead and mentor distributed development teams in India and the Philippines • Architect, develop, and maintain Laravel-based applications • Break down business requirements into clear technical tasks for offshore teams • Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure alignment with I-Tul best practices • Participate in sprint planning, prioritization, and project coordination • Collaborate with designers, QA, PMs, and leadership on technical planning • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and clarity • Represent the engineering team in technical discussions with internal stakeholders • Maintain Git workflows, documentation, and deployment pipelines Required Qualifications • Must reside within the United States • 5+ years of hands-on Laravel/PHP experience • Significant experience managing or mentoring offshore teams • Strong understanding of Laravel architecture (queues, events, policies, API resources, etc.) • Strong MySQL/MariaDB skills • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and code review processes • Excellent communication skills with international teams • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities • Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SaaS products, ERP/integration-heavy systems, or e-commerce platforms • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or queue workers (SupervisorD) • Experience with front-end tools such as Vue.js, React, or Tailwind • Background in workflow automation, scheduling systems, Accounting, healthcare/EHR, or API-driven platforms Benefits I-Tul provides a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off for eligible employees.
