Company Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk at The Home Depot plays a key role in keeping stores stocked and ready for customers each day. This position supports store operations by managing freight flow, ensuring inventory accuracy, verifying pricing, and helping maintain store readiness while following established safety procedures. Role and Responsibilities: In this role, you will handle unloading, stocking, organizing, and moving freight to create a safe and efficient shopping environment. You will also assist customers during freight handling and work with team leads to support store goals. • Unload merchandise from incoming deliveries. • Stock products onto shelves, displays, and promotional setups. • Transport freight from receiving areas to the sales floor or storage spaces. • Update and maintain accurate inventory and product placement records. • Verify signage and pricing labels for accuracy and visibility. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment (if certified). • Follow all safety rules and loss prevention policies. • Provide friendly customer assistance while completing freight tasks. • Maintain clean and organized freight and receiving areas. • Collaborate with Freight Team Leads and management to meet stocking and readiness objectives.
