Supervise and support a team of advanced practice providers while practicing clinically 50% of the time and managing administrative duties 50%.
Must have PA certification, 3+ years advanced practice provider experience, Michigan licensure, ACLS/BLS certification, and preferably 5 years ICU clinical experience.
• Exciting opportunity to join our Henry Ford Health team in this Supervisor role! • Provide day to day oversight of clinical operations and staffing assignments • Serves as an on-shift resource for clinical decision making and escalation support • Monitor adherence to evidence-based practice and regulatory standards • Mentor and coach new and existing staff to promote professional growth • Facilitate communication across interdisciplinary teams • Participate in performance improvement activities and quality metrics • Assist with onboarding, education and competence evaluation • Collaborate with leadership on staffing, workflow and practice initiatives • The APP Supervisor, under the direction of leadership, is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising the performance of a team of APPs. • Provides education and acts as a resource for their respective area of APP oversight. • Responsible for providing day-to-day support for all issues relating to the APPs they oversee, including credentialing, education, benefit, and salary issues. • Participates on the appropriate committees that impact these providers as required. • Practices 50% of the time clinically and works 50% of the time administratively or as determined appropriate by leadership. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR master's prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with board certification in their chosen specialty. • Three (3) years of experience as an advanced practice provider. 5 Years clinical ICU experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant licensure in the State of Michigan and current National Board Certification by approved accrediting bodies. • Current ACLS or BLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
