Henry A. Petter Supply Company, dba Construction Tools & Supply, serves the construction, industrial, marine, and mining industries with a commitment and dedication that is backed by years of experience and dependability. The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating a box truck, pickup truck, or van to deliver and pick up products. The ability to multi-task and communicate positively in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and accuracy is required. The position requires functioning in a group environment and performing the required essential duties and responsibilities as follows: • Safely operate box truck, pickup truck, and van delivery vehicles • Determine and execute proper cargo securement • Deliver materials safely and on time • Validate directions • Unload or assist in unloading material as required • Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits • Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature • Communicate with supervisor and inside sales team throughout the day • Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit • Pick up local purchase orders • Secure and return packing list(s) • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections • Comply with all DOT standards and regulations • Fuel truck as necessary • Report any vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to supervisor • Assist in warehouse as necessary • Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations Experience/Qualifications Requirements: • Three years of verifiable driving experience of similar type vehicles is required • Two or fewer chargeable or preventable motor vehicle accidents within the past three (3) years • Three or fewer violations of motor vehicle laws (other than violations involving parking only) within the past three years • One to four years experience in the Industrial Distribution is highly desired • High school diploma or GED • Experience using computers, as the driver will use email and our company's Sales and Distribution Management System • Commitment to "zero defects" accuracy together with speed/productivity • Excellent communication skills • Outstanding planning/organizational skills • Demonstrated success in customer service and customer follow up Henry A.
