Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and medical training, along with over 5 years of experience in interventional cardiology. Strong clinical orientation and experience in the cath lab environment are essential.

Job Details Job Summary The Principal Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director and Account Manager within a defined geographic area to meet existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them achieve their goals and meet patient/client needs. By providing case coverage, the Principal Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving projected sales goals, Company objectives, and increasing sales revenue. The Principal Clinical Specialist works closely with Interventional Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons to drive procedural and practice success in Structural Heart and Interventional procedures. As the highest level of Clinical Specialist, the Principal Clinical Specialist serves as the regional clinical expert for team training as well as clinical and technical trouble shooting. Essential Duties: Collaborates with the Account Manager to provide good case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients. Provides clinical expertise for Structural Heart implanting centers to provide technical support in accordance with the instructions for use and best practices to facilitate procedural consistency and best clinical outcomes. Provide and assist in education and training activities with physicians, hospital support staff, and Haemonetics personnel. Stay abreast of and communicate clinical data regarding Haemonetics portfolio of products. Provides team training and acts as regional resource for clinical and technical trouble shooting. Provide support on questions regarding device suitability and provide comprehensive technical support including knowledge of imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, hemodynamic waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions. Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Recognize and understand competitive products, industry trends, and Haemonetics portfolio. Oversee local customer education and training activities including coordination and set up of programs, procedural troubleshooting, and coordination and facilitation of staff in-services. Identify, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with key decision makers, customers and their staff, and administrative staff, etc. Serves as the primary resource for clinical support in the areas of coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products. Informs the customer on the latest product, therapy and technology developments in the industry by actively engaging in procedural and technical discussion. Meets with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions using company products. Collaborates and communicates account and other requested information to the local Account Manager on a daily basis. Share insights on competitive products or on account issues, opportunities with appropriate TM or CS. Educates the customer on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products. Supports the RSD in the creation and dissemination of educational content for the internal team. Case support and coverage of the most complex cases that require a higher level of clinical expertise. Facilitates clinical education of team and may participate in new employee training in lieu of no RCS. Strategic partner to the TM (Knowledgeable local territory landscape players and dynamics as the TM, understands approvals processes, account access, decision makers, etc.) Participate and partners in discussions for business planning and forecasts (Sales Teams). Widely considered a clinical expert within region and beyond and may be considered for inclusion in Clinical Advisory Council. Support monitoring of product inventory levels. Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications Education Bachelors of Arts or Science (Required) Medical training (RT, RCIS, Surgical tech, RN, NP, or first assistant) required Experience: 5+ years Strong clinical orientation, experience with products for use in interventional and structural cardiology. Extensive experience in the cath lab environment or as a scrub nurse/tech for Structural Heart procedures 3+ years Medical device experience in structural heart in commercial role. 4 + years Haemonetics experience. Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician, nurse, and lab tech personality types. Ability to persuasively communicate and tailor the Vascular Closure Value Proposition. Analytical with financial acumen (understanding of how our products performance and data impacts a health system's bottom line). Ability to maintain a good working relationship while dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail to maintain records and process reports. A thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and territory's customer base. Emotional intelligence to manage their schedule effectively and efficiently. Previous industry experience preferably in the Cardiovascular space calling on Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, administrators, and clinical staff members. Previous experience with vessel closure is preferred. Previous experience providing clinical education and training to staff members is preferred.
