5+ years in project finance or strategic finance in renewable energy or infrastructure, advanced financial modeling skills, proven capital raising track record, and a quantitative business degree.
We are partnering with a high growth renewable energy innovator to recruit a Director of Strategic Finance. This is a crucial leadership role responsible for securing the capital foundation necessary to expand the next-generation solar and battery storage (BESS) infrastructure. What you’ll do: • P&L and Growth Enablement: Be the strategic partner to the leadership teams (Development, Sales) by identifying and structuring innovative financial mechanisms (e.g., PPAs) that de risk projects and drive profitable asset deployment. • Capital Acquisition Leadership: Oversee the end to end capitalization strategy, responsible for the effective negotiation and close of diverse financing streams, including corporate funding rounds and specialized project-level investment partnerships. • Corporate & Investment Strategy: Lead the evaluation and modelling of all potential strategic moves, including acquisitions, divestitures, and internal investments, ensuring all proposals align with long-term company value creation. • Financial Integrity & Forecasting: Implement robust internal financial structures and provide leadership with clear, forward-looking capital forecasts, enabling proactive decision-making across the entire business. What You Bring: • Experience & Sector Knowledge: 5+ years of direct experience in project finance, capital markets, or strategic finance, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. • Advanced Modelling Skills: Proven mastery in building sophisticated financial models for valuation and strategic planning. • Track Record: A history of successfully raising and deploying significant capital across different instruments (e.g., debt, equity, structured products). • Academic Excellence: A foundational degree in a quantitative business discipline (Finance, Accounting, Economics); an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is highly valued.
