Job Details Job Location: 104 SOUTHEAST PARKWAY SUITE 100 - FRANKLIN, TN Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $16.66 - $16.66 Hourly Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Truck Driver Assistant The Truck Team member supports GraceWorks Ministries’ goals, values, and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability. POSITION SUMMARY The Truck Driver Assistant is responsible for driving the truck to pick up furniture, food, and other donations in homes, businesses, churches, or schools, communicating with in-kind donors, corporate and civic community partners, and coordinating their pickup time. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Driving the truck to pick up furniture, food, and other donations in homes, businesses, churches, or schools. Loading and transporting equipment and materials to and from GraceWorks-sponsored events. Working with a partner and using appropriate moving equipment to lift heavy furniture. Communicating with individual in-kind donors to coordinate their pickup time on the scheduled day. Interacting professionally and pleasantly with all donors, customers, and volunteers. Assisting with loading and unloading of sold merchandise or donations at GraceWorks. Cleaning, including bathrooms, lobby, store, and any other areas of GraceWorks. Assisting as needed in all areas of GraceWorks. Being able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks. Able to react to change productively and handle all other duties/essential tasks as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required; Valid Driver’s License Required and a clean driving record. CDL is not required. Must be 25 years or older. OTHER SKILLS Good interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals Strong team player who can work well with others Ability to carry heavy loads in various circumstances, such as stairs, hallways, doorways, etc. Good judgment when dealing with the public Able to lift heavy loads Organized and able to handle reasonable amounts of paperwork Good sense of direction WORK ENVIRONMENT The position is in a warehouse and retail setting involving everyday risks or discomforts requiring standard safety precautions. Employees may encounter hot working conditions based on the season. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for up to entire shift.
