Job Title: Vision Systems Engineer Location: Huntsville, AL (Onsite Only) Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Vision Systems Engineer with strong experience in industrial vision platforms, neural network–based camera systems, and automation integration. The ideal candidate will work hands-on with Cognex/Keyence systems, PLC interfaces, and networked vision architectures while supporting enhancements, testing, and deployment for manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities: Vision Systems Development & Support • Work with industrial vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, etc.) for inspection and automation. • Support and enhance neural network–based vision applications for site systems. • Install, configure, and maintain NVIDIA X-Desktop and related vision software. • Handle model-year updates, quality monitoring enhancements, and feature improvements. Automation & Controls Integration • Collaborate on PLC and controls integration with vision systems. • Debug, test, and validate camera setups, calibration, and performance. Networking & Infrastructure • Configure vision system networks including IP structures, device networks, switches (managed/unmanaged), and NAT routers. • Manage networked camera environments and ensure reliable communication. Documentation & Testing • Create documentation, test cases, and perform system/acceptance testing. • Provide technical guidance to users on Neural Net Applications and system specifications. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience with industrial vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, etc.) • 2+ years of experience with neural network–based camera vision applications • Hands-on coding skills in Python, C#, or C++ • Basic understanding of PLC systems and controls integration • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and technical communication skills
