## Key Role Overview This Way ONward Sales Associate is a part-time, customer-facing retail role focused on delivering excellent customer service, product expertise, and executing store operational processes. The associate educates and outfits customers, communicates merchandise assortment and promotions, and helps bring the brand to life while supporting productivity and building brand loyalty. ## Key Responsibilities - Engage and connect with customers by providing excellent customer service and product expertise, educating and outfitting customers as needed. - Share information with customers about current merchandise assortment, store promotions and events. - Execute operational processes effectively and efficiently, including supporting opening and/or closing the store and completing work before or after store hours as needed. - Serve as a role model to achieve store priorities with the customer as the primary focus. - Support the store leadership team to collaborate effectively with employees and ensure work tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. - Build and share expertise in an assigned specialized functional area. - Listen and ask questions to solicit feedback, understand customer needs, and provide service. - Handle unique or complex customer interactions courteously and professionally. ## Required Qualifications - Has successfully completed job readiness training at one of Gap Inc’s nonprofit partners. - Effective communicator with the ability to utilize technology effectively and engage with customers and team members to meet goals. - Problem solver focused on continuous improvement, open to feedback and able to take action as required. - Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally. - Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training. ## Preferred Qualifications - None specified. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not specified. - Key benefits: Not specified.
