Overview The Director, Technology Product Management will be responsible for leading the product management function by building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps for applications developed or supported by the RPS Technology team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical capabilities. In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in structuring the product management function, establishing strong product management practices, and ensuring the role is well-respected and aligned with both business and technology teams. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with Sr RPS Business Leadership as well as the Global IT Organization, including leaders within IT Operations, Information Security, Data, and Digital Development. You can be fully remote/virtual/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US. How you'll make an impact Product Management and Roadmaps: Lead the product management function by building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps for applications developed or supported by the RPS Technology team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical capabilities. Collaborate closely with product owners to ensure effective execution of the roadmap. Strategic Product Vision: Work with business and IT leadership to refine and communicate the vision and strategy for RPS applications, ensuring they deliver measurable value to the business. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Structure and Process Development: Establish and formalize product management processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with technical teams, including developers, architects, and analysts, to ensure seamless delivery of product features and enhancements. Complex Problem Solving: Navigate the complexities of broker management and digital insurance systems, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. Prioritization and Planning: Manage product backlogs, prioritize features based on business impact, and plan releases to maximize value delivery. Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for applications, ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Advocacy and Influence: Champion the product management function within the organization, ensuring its value is recognized and respected by both business and technology teams. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management, reinsurance analytics, and actuarial systems. About You Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar field. 10+ years of technology product management experience in insurance, including brokerage, MGA, Wholesale and Carrier Experience navigating brokerage and underwriting systems and applications, CRM, document management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to analyze and prioritize business needs and translate to technology strategy and requirements. Transformational experience, with a track record of driving change and innovation. Strong knowledge of the latest technologies, including Generative AI. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Proven track record in leading transformation initiatives in the insurance industry, with significant knowledge of the entire Policy Lifecycle, preferably with experience in Agency Management Systems. Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess business needs and recommend effective solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
