About the role As our Director of Marketing, you will set the vision, strategy, and execution for Fuku’s brand and growth marketing during a pivotal moment. With two new restaurants launching, a growing franchise pipeline, and continued expansion across non-traditional locations, this role will shape how Fuku shows up in every market. You will bring our refreshed brand to life across restaurants, concessions, digital platforms, and new business channels as we build toward significant growth in 2026. We are looking for a builder, someone who can zoom out to set strategy, zoom in to execute with excellence, and help us make smart, high-impact decisions as we scale. As a company in active start-up mode, this role is not for someone who only wants to delegate. We need a Director with strong experience who is equally excited to roll up their sleeves, build systems from the ground up, dive into the work, and shape a brand that is still early in its growth story. You will own Fuku’s marketing budget, guiding where and how we invest, including how we leverage agencies, external partners, and in-house resources. This is a hands-on leadership role with the autonomy to build, test, refine, and scale. What you'll do Lead Brand Strategy and Growth Own Fuku’s marketing strategy across corporate restaurants, non-traditional restaurants, franchise markets, and new business verticals. Translate our refreshed brand identity into consistent, high-impact experiences across digital, in-store, experiential, and community channels. Build scalable marketing playbooks for new restaurant openings, franchise launches, and major brand moments. Oversee brand launch in new markets, including campaign strategy, local activations, influencer strategy, and location-specific merch Own and Optimize the Marketing Budget Manage Fuku’s annual marketing budget with a thoughtful, ROI-driven approach to how and where we invest. Balance brand building with performance marketing, traffic-driving campaigns, and franchise support. Track performance, analyze results, and shift spend based on data, insights, and business goals. Provide strategic guidance to leadership on marketing priorities, investments, and opportunities. Lead and Leverage External Partners Oversee and manage creative agencies, PR partners, digital media vendors, content creators, influencers, and production partners. Ensure external partners are aligned, on budget, and delivering high-quality work that reflects Fuku’s brand. Evaluate agency performance, identify gaps, and refine our partner strategy as we grow. Drive Marketing Planning and Execution Lead annual and quarterly local store marketing planning, including campaign strategy, brand moments, LTOs, influencers, and promotions to drive traffic to the restaurants Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives support business goals and market needs. Oversee the development of menus, signage, digital content, promotional materials, social media, and all consumer-facing creative assets. Strategize and backfill support for ongoing social media strategy Support Franchise Growth Build franchise marketing guidelines, toolkits, and support structures that align with Fuku’s brand standards. Provide strategic local marketing support for franchise partners, including launch plans and ongoing in-market activations. Build Internal Alignment and Communication Work closely with executive leadership to ensure consistency and clarity across all marketing initiatives. Improve internal communication around marketing priorities and timelines. Bring cross-functional partners along through clear planning, updates, and collaboration. Qualifications 5 to 8 years of marketing experience in QSR, fast casual, hospitality, consumer brands, or other high-growth environments. At least 2 to 3 years leading projects or people, with the ability to guide strategy, manage workflows, and influence cross-functional partners. Proven ability to manage external partners, including creative agencies, PR, digital media, content creators, and production vendors. Experience identifying, vetting, and recommending partners based on business needs, brand standards, and growth goals. Strong execution skills with the ability to shift easily between strategic thinking and hands-on work. Comfort owning budgets, analyzing performance, and making data-informed decisions. Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. A passion for hospitality, restaurants, and building memorable guest experiences.
