Job Title : Software Development Engineer In Test Location : Pasadena, CA Skill Set : Programming, Web automation Testing, API and Backend Testing Education : a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field Specific Job Responsibilities : Automation Testing of new and existing APIs using Ready API Tool which involves: • Analyzing and Grooming the User story involving creation of new API or modifying existing API. • Creation of Test Cases based on the Scenarios to test the Changes in the API and Executing the Test Cases to ensure proper functionality. • Handling Automation by creating steps to procure data and validation of API Results. • Validation of Request and Response of the APIs with Backend Data by writing SQL Queries for MS SQL Server. Performing Web Automation Testing using Cucumber JVM and Maven Project including modifying existing Test Cases or Creation of new ones based on Manual Test cases. Contributing as Team member to Sprint including grooming, planning and Retrospective meetings for the User Stories involving design and programming. Handling Smoke and Functional Testing of APIs and Fixing the issues regularly including peer review of Test Cases. Attending Regular Knowledge Transfer Sessions in the form of both learning and sharing technical tool knowledge required for different forms of Testing.
