Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team in New York City. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks to support the efficient operation of commercial, mixed-use, and residential properties. Expertise in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, plastering, drywall repair, and general renovations is essential to maintaining and enhancing the functionality and appearance of our buildings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES General Repairs & Maintenance · Diagnose and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and structural components · Repair or replace damaged fixtures, doors, and hardware · Patch holes, perform plaster and drywall repairs, and paint as needed · Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and complete preventive maintenance · Perform power washing and general cleaning tasks as required Carpentry & Renovations · Construct, install, or repair cabinets, shelves, and other wood structures · Install baseboards, trim, and repair or replace damaged woodwork · Install drywall, subfloors, and various flooring types (tile, linoleum, vinyl) Electrical & Plumbing · Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform basic wiring repairs · Install light fixtures, switches, and outlets in compliance with safety standards · Address plumbing repairs, including leaks, drain issues, and fixture maintenance Customer Service & Communication · Communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and management · Provide prompt, professional customer service and respond to maintenance requests quickly · Update management on the status of work orders and close tickets in a timely manner Qualifications · High School Diploma or equivalent · Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs · Ability to multitask and complete assignments within required timeframes · Self-motivated; able to work independently without direct supervision · Strong communication skills (oral and written preferred) · Solid working knowledge of tools and equipment needed for day-to-day maintenance tasks · Valid driver’s license and reliable cell phone required · Willingness to be on-call for after-hours emergencies Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
