You’ll Enjoy The Patient Access Specialist Scheduler is responsible for successful scheduling and customer experience for all supported Forefront Dermatology clinics. This position will actively manage provider benign or normal pathology results, skin cancer recalls and reporting, medical aesthetic appointment scheduling, specialty incoming phone calls, task management and ensure maximum productivity and accuracy. This position may be assigned ownership of special projects. Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate patient appointments following company protocols, procedures and provider schedule templates when applicable. Follow Quality procedures including schedule accuracy, documentation and quality assurance program guides. Meet department KPI metrics (including but not limited to quality, average handle time, unavailable time, abandonment percentages, scheduled appointments and turnaround times). Maintain accurate documentation with patient medical records. Follow and maintain state regulations pertaining to cancer registries. Ensure high levels of customer service are provided by patient access staff to patients and co-workers. Work on special projects and perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications EDUCATION High school diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent. Experience with dermatology and medical aesthetic definitions/procedure preferred Understanding insurance health plans preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1 year of recent medical office experience in a similar capacity is preferred. Must attend mandatory meetings, which include but are not limited to; Customer Services and Staff Meetings. Proficient in basic computer functions. Must be able to understand and spell Dermatologic medical terms and prescriptions. Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred. Must possess attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team. Ability to respond positively to constructive criticism and direction from supervisors. Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times. Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to communicate in an active multi-office environment. Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office programs. Ability to communicate via telephone, email, and other electronic solutions. Ability to sit for large portions of a workday. For this position, the base pay range is $18.25 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training.
