Design and test vehicle components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support vehicle development milestones.
Pursuing or completed a Mechanical Engineering degree, internship experience, CAD skills, and availability for a 6-month internship at Long Beach, CA.
Design, analyze, build, and test parts at component, subsystem, and full vehicle level. You'll work on packaging exterior systems and components within the vehicle architecture following Class A surface and design You'll Interpret aerodynamics and CAE simulation, test results, integrate recommendations into exterior design You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams within engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure system manufacturing, assembly feasibility, and serviceability. Support vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events Pursuit of a relevant Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) Must be able to work from the Long Beach, CA campus. Must be able to dedicate 6 MONTHS for this engagement Candidates must graduate and be available for full-time work prior to September 2026 Experience utilizing CAD for solid and surface constructions Internship experience in automotive or related field, EV preferred. Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, with preferred to have experience designing mechanisms, electromechanical components Strong understanding of the materials and manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, composites, paint and other surface finishes As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
