Position SummaryThis position will be based in our Machine Shop and spend most of their time working on the machines. As Material Handler support, this person will handle all receiving, inventory maintenance, and production pulls for raw materials (both coil and bar). Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Ensures orderly storage and distribution of raw materials while stocking and pulling material from inventory.Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.Prepares finished stock for shipment (if needed) by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and logging any repair requests in to MaintainX softwareOperates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.Qualifications-Education/ExperienceRequired:2-5 years' experience in a production coordinator or similar roleWorking knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsAt least an intermediate level of expertise using ExcelStrong project management skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesPreferred:3-5 years of material handler experience in a manufacturing plant environment, preferably with the aerospace industryTravel Requirements0%We consider all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, handicap, genetic infiltration, disability or status as a veteran.
