Position: Customer Finance Partner Full-time Remote San Francisco, CA New York, NY Compensation: $150K – $190K + competitive equity About the Role FocusPoint is partnering with a high-growth technology client to identify a Customer Finance Partner. This role is ideal for finance professionals who thrive at the intersection of technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic impact. You will serve as a trusted partner to clients, guiding them through onboarding, implementation, and adoption of modern financial planning solutions. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead customers through implementation, onboarding, and adoption, ensuring success from setup through scale. • Conduct 2–4 high-impact customer sessions daily, including hands-on modeling and training calls. • Build and refine financial models such as forecasts, balance sheets, income statements, and scenario analyses. • Collaborate with internal product and success teams to continuously improve the onboarding experience. • Measure and drive outcomes like time-to-value, customer retention, and user independence. What We’re Looking For Finance & Technical Expertise • Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and scenario analysis. • Comfort working with SQL and structured data. • Experience in SaaS onboarding, consulting, or FP&A roles. • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot and Notion. Soft Skills • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities. • Strong analytical instincts with a problem-solving mindset. • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Candidate Profile • 3–6 years of experience in financial forecasting and scenario planning within consulting, internal finance, or deal desk roles (PE/VC preferred). • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field. • Prior experience working with external customers in a tech startup or consulting environment.
