Full Description

How to Apply If you want to be considered for this position, you must send us a message on Indeed that includes a short video explaining why you are interested in this role and why you are qualified. Applications without a video link sent to us in a message on Indeed will not be reviewed. Seniority: 10+ Years Engineering Experience Compensation: Competitive + growth opportunities Flow RMS is building FlowConnect — the real-time coordination and intelligence layer for the entire industrial supply chain. FlowConnect combines AI, collaboration, network data, and operational tooling for manufacturers, reps, distributors, and associations. We're looking for a Senior Lead Engineer who can own major parts of this platform, lead a team, and help define what the future of industrial B2B SaaS looks like. What You’ll Do1. Lead Architecture & System Design • Own architecture for a large-scale, multi-tenant B2B SaaS platform. • Make key decisions around Next.js (frontend) and Nest.JS (backend) with strong opinions on clean, consistent patterns. • Ensure scalability, high-performance data flows, and clean boundaries between services (auth, real-time messaging, market directory, AI workflows, etc.). 2. Guide a Team of Engineers • Provide code reviews that make junior and mid-level engineers better without slowing them down. • Establish engineering standards, patterns, and documentation that keep the codebase clean and predictable. • Collaborate with international teams (U.S., Paraguay, Pakistan, etc.) and maintain high output and accountability. 3. Work Directly With Customers & Product • Join customer discovery calls to understand workflows and pain points. • Translate real customer language into product requirements, lightweight specs, and actionable engineering tasks. • Make sure what we build matches what customers actually need. 4. Deliver Features End-to-End • Work across the full stack to build high-quality product features and internal tools. • Own the delivery timeline — plan, break down work, and ensure the team ships on schedule. • Help design UI/UX alongside product for clarity, speed, and professional polish. 5. Integrate AI in Real Workflows • Use agentic AI tools (Claude Code, GPT-5 Agents, etc.) to improve speed and code quality. • Help architect AI-driven modules like FlowBot, agent orchestration, document parsing, and knowledge retrieval. • Understand embeddings, RAG, message buses, workflow engines, and how AI fits into a real production system. Tech Stack You’ll Work InYou don’t need every single one, but you must be fully fluent in the star components:Core • Next.js (App Router, server components, streaming, performance patterns) • Nest.JS (modular monolith structure, dependency injection, providers, guards, interceptors) • PostgreSQL / Drizzle ORM / Neon AI / Agentic Tools • Claude Code / GPT-5 agents • LangChain or equivalent • Vector DBs (Qdrant, Pinecone) • Retrieval and workflow orchestration Who You AreThis is not a junior or mid-level role. You are: • A seasoned engineer with 10+ years of experience shipping production SaaS products. • A systems thinker, able to zoom out to architecture and zoom in to refactor a messy function. • Strong with Next.js and Nest.JS at a professional, battle-tested level. • Comfortable leading teams, structuring work, setting direction, and holding people accountable. • A product-minded engineer, not a ticket-taker — you think in terms of customer outcomes. • AI-forward, experimenting with agentic tools, using them to improve speed and quality. • Opinionated about code quality, structure, and maintainability. • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, where speed, clarity, and consistent output matter. Nice to Have • Experience with B2B SaaS, especially platforms with network effects • Experience with collaboration tools, chat/messaging infrastructure, or real-time systems • Experience designing multi-org, multi-role permission systems • Experience with geospatial data or map libraries (MapLibre, PostGIS) • Experience leading distributed teams Why Join Flow RMS / FlowConnect • You’ll help build a new category: the coordination layer for the industrial supply chain. • You’ll work with founders who ship quickly, think clearly, and operate at a high standard. • You’ll directly shape how manufacturing reps, distributors, and manufacturers collaborate nationwide. • You’ll lead a team building a platform used across the entire industry. • You’ll be part of a fast-growing company that reinvests heavily in product development. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in Raleigh, NC 27616
