About Us At Félix, we're building the financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with a revolution in remittances. Our core product is an AI-powered chatbot built on WhatsApp, allowing our users to send money home as easily as sending a text message. We leverage cutting-edge technology like AI, blockchain, and stablecoins to make cross-border payments faster, more affordable, and more accessible than ever before. We are a hyper-growth Series B company, backed by over $100 million in funding from top-tier global investors, including QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, and General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. This isn't just about the numbers; it's a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision and our team. Additionally, Félix was selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and was a recipient of the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award. We are a group of extremely talented and dedicated high-performers, united by our shared obsession with a single goal: empowering our customers. We are all owners of Félix, driven by a bias for action and a true experimentation spirit to get shit done with urgency and focus. Joining Félix means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long. We are a team that is fiercely loyal to each other, where radical transparency and constructive feedback are how we grow and push for excellence. We are bold, we care less about what others are doing, and more about creating sustainable value and a product that truly makes our users' lives better. We are building the future, today. About the Role We’re seeking a bilingual, mixed-methods (qualitative, quantitative), curiosity-driven User Experience Researcher who can uncover meaningful insights about how our users think, feel, and interact with Félix. You are a great fit if you are fluent in Spanish and English, deeply empathetic toward multicultural user bases, and comfortable conducting research across diverse markets. You know how to balance speed with rigor, running rapid usability tests one week and in-depth generative research the next. You’ll help shape a research-driven culture across Product, Design, and Engineering, ensuring that every decision, from chat tone to product expansion, starts with real user understanding. Responsibilities Establish Félix’s research vision and practice, defining standards and methodologies that support both long-term discovery and fast, iterative learning. Lead end-to-end research projects: define goals, write screeners and guides, recruit users (senders, receivers, agents), moderate sessions in English and Spanish, analyze data, and synthesize insights. Build a culture of curiosity and empathy across the company by communicating findings through storytelling, creative artifacts, and engaging presentations. Empower others to research by mentoring designers, PMs, and engineers on basic testing and discovery techniques. Partner with Data and Product Analytics to merge qualitative and quantitative insights into a full picture of user behavior, trust, and retention. Conduct your own data analysis using behavioral data, funnels, and survey results to complement qualitative research and identify actionable patterns in user behavior. Maintain a centralized research repository, creating a shared source of truth about user needs and behaviors across regions. Shape the Design & Research culture at Félix, contributing to hiring, rituals, and process improvements as we scale. Requirements 5+ years of UX research experience within a product organization, ideally in fintech, messaging platforms, or direct-to-consumer apps. Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written), essential for leading research across Latin American and U.S. user segments. A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field (graduate degree a plus). Deep expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methods, from generative interviews and ethnography to usability testing and survey design. A solid grasp of data and behavioral analytics, and the ability to collaborate closely with product analysts to connect dots across data sources. Excellent storytelling skills, able to craft clear, persuasive narratives that influence product and business decisions. A passion for building financial trust and inclusion through thoughtful, user-centered design. These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered. Preferred Locations We’re a distributed team looking to hire in Texas, Florida, and California. Ideally, you’re based in one of these regions and are open to traveling periodically for team collaboration.
