The Bank supports monetary policy, supervises/regulates financial institutions, provides financial services to banks and the government, and advances community and economic well-being across its district and beyond. ## Role Summary The Senior Investment Management Analyst (Office of Employee Benefits) supports oversight and administration of investments for the Federal Reserve System Thrift Plan and Retirement Plan, working from the Newark, NJ office. This role performs financial and investment analysis, assists with asset allocation and credit analyses, evaluates private equity and private real estate opportunities, prepares reports and presentations, and leads projects that support plan governance and investment decision-making. ## Key Responsibilities - Assist with oversight of investments in the Federal Reserve System Thrift Plan and Retirement Plan including administration support and compliance monitoring - Prepare, collect, and interpret financial information and investment data to support reporting and analysis - Conduct financial analyses of proposals, investments, and fund sources, including credit analysis and product evaluations - Review and analyze private equity and private real estate investment opportunities - Support and perform asset allocation studies and benchmark analyses - Prepare reports, forecasts, returns, and presentations on each Plan’s invested assets for internal and external stakeholders - Research and respond to inquiries from external partners, plan participants, and Federal Reserve System partners (e.g., Finance & Accounting) - Identify best practices, evaluate emerging trends, and perform comparative analyses to inform recommendations - Develop presentations and training sessions for Reserve Bank partners and lead processes or projects with measurable outcomes ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field - Minimum seven (7) years of experience analyzing institutional investment portfolios or equivalent professional experience - Demonstrated experience with investment analysis, asset allocation studies, and product evaluations (including private markets exposure) - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience preparing financial reports and forecasts - Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and prepare presentations and training materials - Experience ensuring compliance with investment policies and procedures and working collaboratively with internal and external partners ## Preferred Qualifications - MBA or other advanced degree (preferred) - Experience with private equity and private real estate investment analysis (preferred) - Familiarity with pension/retirement plan investment oversight and institutional investment best practices - Experience leading projects or processes with measurable outcomes and delivering training to partners ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not provided in the posting - Benefits: Standard Federal Reserve employee benefits (not detailed in posting); emphasis on career growth, meaningful responsibilities, and work-life balance - Exempt, full-time position ## Company Culture & Values - Core values highlighted: integrity, excellence, and respect - The Bank emphasizes doing the right thing, doing things right, and treating people right - Culture described as diverse, high-performance, exchange-driven, with opportunities for personal growth and a focus on employees’ well-being ## Additional Information - Location: Newark, NJ, United States - Work arrangement: Onsite work is an essential function; employees are required to be onsite according to the schedule set by management (the Bank supports flexibility but requires in-person presence as scheduled) - Employment type: Full time, regular, exempt - Application instructions: Verify and apply through Federal Reserve System Careers (https://rb.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/FRS) or via verified Federal Reserve Bank social channels; always apply through official channels listed by the Federal Reserve - Equal employment opportunity statement: The Federal Reserve Banks are committed to equal employment opportunity and valuing differences among employees and applicants
