We want you to be a part of our journey! The Government Grants & Compliance Analyst plays a key role in securing and managing public funding to support Family Focus programs. This position leads the identification, development, and submission of public grant proposals, ensuring alignment with agency goals and compliance with funder requirements. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and external partners, oversight of project timelines and application processes, and active involvement in budget preparation and regulatory compliance. This is a strategic and hands-on position critical to advancing the agency’s mission through sustainable grant funding. Duties include, but are not limited to: Grant Development & Writing • Conduct thorough research on public grant opportunities and assess their alignment with agency programs and strategic goals. • Lead the preparation and submission of grant proposals, including compiling necessary exhibits, attachments, and ensuring compliance with all application requirements. • Address internal and external inquiries related to drafted and submitted proposals promptly and effectively. • Represent the agency at grant-related forums, workshops, and training sessions, both virtual and in-person. • Maintain accurate, organized records and databases of all researched opportunities and submitted grants. Compliance & Budget Support • Ensure ongoing compliance with grant portal requirements (e.g., GATA) for applications and financial reporting. • Partner closely with Finance to develop, review, and manage grant budgets, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and agency financial policies. • Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with funders, stakeholders, and internal teams to support grant compliance and reporting. • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to uphold data integrity and accuracy in grant reporting processes. Grant Operations & Data Management • Develop, update, and maintain a centralized internal database to effectively track all public grant opportunities, submissions, awards, and related deadlines. • Participate actively in grant coordination, finance, and cross-departmental meetings to provide updates, share insights, and collaborate on strategies for grant success. • Take initiative to support additional grant-related projects, special assignments, or agency initiatives that contribute to enhancing the overall grant management function. The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Government Policy, Creative Writing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (Minimum of 15 semester hours in accounting) • At least 5 years of progressive experience in grant management for nonprofit organizations, or equivalent. • Strong grant writing and editing skills with excellent command of written communication. • Excellent working knowledge of compliance requirements, grant proposal submission, and GATA requirements. • Strong research and analytical skills; ability to navigate funding databases and government sites. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Experience working with financial and accounting systems. • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage grant budgets.
