Data Migration Engineer - REMOTE Expert Technical is hiring a Design Engineer to help a global consulting and engineering firm deliver cutting-edge integrated solutions for power delivery, generation, and storage. In this role, you will be instrumental in the digital utility business unit, focusing on critical system and software implementation. You will report directly to the department manager and work in tandem with utility clients, serving as a key integrator linking utility design, GIS, and management software. This is a fully remote direct-hire opportunity. • Drive Full-Cycle Implementation of Design solutions (requirements, system design, testing, training, deployment). • Lead Integration Development between Design Solutions and Enterprise Applications (GIS, WMS, Document Management). • Develop and nurture long-term client relationships to support additional business growth. • Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals, resource allocation, and project planning. • Potential travel is up to 25% as required for project and client needs. Requirements: Minimum 3 years working directly with utility data modeling (electric, gas, water, wastewater, stormwater, fiber). • Proven ability to view, create, and configure utility GIS data. • Experience executing GIS data migration and transformation using standard tools (Esri Data Loading Tools, FME, etc.) and custom scripting (Python, SQL). • Skilled in data integration, including importing data from various sources (spreadsheets, databases, geodatabases). • Full experience with the project implementation lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Training, Deployment). • Minimum 3 years of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
