POSITION SUMMARY Everpark is hiring Parking Cashiers/Attendants to support daily operations at a State of California (DGS/OFAM) parking facility. This position requires professionalism, strong customer service skills, accurate cash handling, and strict adherence to State operational procedures. This is an on-site, public-facing position in a high-visibility government facility. Employees must maintain excellent attendance, follow written policies, and comply with all operational, safety, and financial control requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Daily Parking Operations • Staff and operate a one-person parking kiosk during all assigned hours. • Greet customers professionally and provide general parking information. • Issue manual parking tickets accurately with correct time documentation. • Collect cash payments and provide correct change. • Announce cash received and count back change aloud to maintain accuracy. • Follow all cash-handling procedures as required by OFAM and Everpark. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe booth environment. • Monitor traffic flow entering/exiting the facility. • Enforce facility rules, including “No Overnight Parking” and cash-only policies. Customer Service & Support • Provide courteous assistance and resolve minor disputes professionally. • Refer escalated issues to a supervisor or OFAM representative. • Assist customers who are locked in or locked out (when assigned). Facility & Equipment Responsibilities • Protect all State-owned equipment and report any damage immediately. • Notify supervisor of outages or malfunctions (gates, power, tickets, etc.). • Follow manual operating procedures during equipment or power failures. • Maintain booth keys securely and never leave the booth unattended. Compliance & Professional Conduct • Wear an Everpark uniform and name badge at all times. • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. • Follow confidentiality policies and protect sensitive information. • Comply with all Everpark and State safety protocols, including emergency procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) • Ability to speak, read, and write English. • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills. • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly. • Ability to remain in a sitting/standing position inside a booth for extended periods. • Must be punctual and reliable. • Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. • Must pass background check in accordance with CA Fair Chance Act. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT • Ability to sit or stand in a small kiosk for the duration of shift. • Ability to handle cash and count money. • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed (signs, cones, equipment). • Vision sufficient to read tickets, receipts, and documentation. WORK HOURS • Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM • Must be available for occasional after-hours or special events as scheduled. • Must be able to work overtime when required (paid according to CA Overtime Law).
