Job Description: Program Manager, EV Charging Infrastructure (Forecasting & Controls) Location: Remote (Northern California-based candidates ONLY; occasional travel to HQ in Arcadia, CA) Position Summary EVCS is seeking a Program Manager with deep expertise in project controls, budget forecasting, and cost management to lead EV charging infrastructure projects across Northern California. This role is critical to ensuring our state-funded and private projects stay on track - financially, operationally, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. We’re looking for someone who thrives in Excel, understands construction workflows, and can translate complex project data into actionable insights. If you know how to keep budgets tight, timelines realistic, and documentation airtight, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Cost Control & Forecasting • Plan and review expenditures across programs to ensure financial health • Negotiate pricing and cost structures with vendors and contractors • Optimize resource allocation and timing to reduce waste and delays • Conduct risk assessments to forecast and mitigate cost impacts • Build and manage milestone-based payment forecasts tied to funding schedules Project Execution & Oversight • Lead projects from origination through commissioning and closeout • Maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multiple stakeholders • Collaborate with design, construction, finance, and compliance teams • Track and report progress using project management software • Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready Communication & Leadership • Act as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders • Lead meetings, presentations, and vendor reviews • Troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to keep projects moving • Recommend procurement sequences and coordinate timely delivery of services • Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process updates • Additional responsibilities may be assigned at company’s discretion. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience • 5–7 years in project/program management within construction or energy • Knowledge of construction, project and program management best practices, and financial acumen. • Excellent communicator and collaborator • Strong command of Excel and project budgeting tools • Familiarity with state-funded infrastructure and compliance documentation • PMP or CAPM certification (completed or in progress) About EVCS EVCS was founded in 2018 and has quickly become one of the largest and fastest-growing public EV charging networks on the US West Coast.
