We are seeking an experienced professional to support metrics and reporting needs for the Employee Benefits Claims organization. This will include internal and external reporting needs for Short-Term Disability (STD), statutory disability programs, and state PFML products/services. Over time, the scope will expand to include life insurance, long-term disability, and supplemental health products (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and wellness benefits), dental, and vision, requiring continuous monitoring of evolving metrics/reporting needs. This individual must be able to help deliver Employee Benefits’ “Powerfully Simple” vision, by supporting the Employee Benefits claims organization and developing a rigorous metrics and reporting strategy. Key Job Responsibilities • Leverage extensive knowledge of relational databases to develop processes to automate reporting efforts of the Employee Benefits Claims organization • Help to drive the strategic thinking of management by delivering insights that require in-depth analysis and personal initiative • Support the development of management dashboards to highlight key issues for the leadership team • Author discrete sections of packages and communications of results (often for leadership audience) • Track and analyze the outcomes and impact of various initiatives post-implementation • Work across the organization to identify data needed to analyze the business at a granular level, gathering available data through existing tools, including financial, customer/producer, operation, expense and risk drivers of profitability • Assist with development of strategic roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage data and technology to enhance client relationships, retention and acquisition • Partner with internal and external partners to assist with development of a claims data strategy • Liaise with Finance, Operations, IT, Product and other key sources of data to identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide clear, concise and actionable insights • Develop and maintain staffing models for claims resources and associated support functions • Partner with external data and AI-focused vendors track technology initiative outcomes and results The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Equitable Pay and Benefits: Equitable Total Rewards Program Required Qualifications • 3+ years of direct experience with claims reporting in an Employee Benefits / Group Insurance setting • 2+ years of experience with Excel, Access, Tableau, SQL and/or other relational databases • 2+ years of experience with data analysis, including comfort with setting up relational databases, querying, manipulating and cleaning data sets • Specific prior experience supporting one or more of the following products: group dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability, statutory benefits, paid family leave, and/or supplemental health offerings (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and associated wellness benefits) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with FINEOS claims software preferred, but not required • Experience with machine learning and Artificial Intelligence initiatives and associated reporting • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which requires managing multiple projects and priorities • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly ability to translate complicated technical topics into clear, concise statements • Ability to work independently, especially when sourcing data/information and when working on highly technical tasks • Comfortable interacting with individuals across a wide range of seniority levels and business areas • Self-starter with ability to think outside of the box to deliver solutions and solve business problems Skills Data Privacy: Strong skills in managing claims records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, including collaborating with privacy partners to ensure strong data protection. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Competence in dealing with complexity and ambiguity, utilizing analytical skills to explore multiple solutions and drive continuous improvement in reporting capabilities. Technology Integration: Support the integration of new technologies into existing claims processes. Ensure seamless adoption of digital tools. Monitors technology performance and ongoing results. Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning. Product and Vendor Partnerships: Knowledge of product and vendor partnerships; ability to implement processes for the evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components ensuring they are in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
