The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for surface water and groundwater modeling, as well as wetland hydrologic restoration and stormwater management. Additional duties include project and budget management, technical report writing, and environmental permitting.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or a related discipline and 5-7 years of experience in Florida. Knowledge of various modeling software and strong communication skills are also required.
Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT), seeks a dynamic and driven mid-level engineer to join our team and help our business grow. Familiarity with water resources project management, serving clients, and mentoring other junior engineers within ECT’s Florida-based water resources team will be key to being successful. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience and expertise in water resource issues relevant to Florida. Primary Responsibilities: * Surface Water, Groundwater and integrated modeling * 1D/2D hydrologic and hydraulic modeling * Wetland hydrologic restoration/mitigation * Stormwater master plan/watershed management plans * Stormwater retrofit modeling, including preparing calculations. * Project and budget management * Technical report writing * Environmental permitting * GIS analysis Education & Experience: * Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related discipline * 5-7 years of experience in Florida * Knowledge of surface and groundwater models, e.g., ModFlow, ICPR, SWMM, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, PONDS * Knowledge of ArcGIS/ArcPro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Sound professional judgement and attention to detail * Valid Florida driver license with acceptable driving record Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc.
