Our client, an investment firm, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Workday Financials Technical Product Manager to join their team! Responsibilities • Team Leadership & Oversight: Lead and mentor a team of offshore Workday developers and analysts supporting production and BAU activities. • Production Support Management: Oversee resolution of user issues, incidents, and service requests with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and minimizing business disruption. • BAU Backlog Ownership: Manage intake, prioritization, and delivery of BAU work, balancing immediate user needs with long-term system improvements. • Workday Configuration: Perform and oversee Workday Financials configuration tasks, including updates to business processes, security roles, reports, and other tenant-level changes. • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Finance, Technology, and senior business leaders across global time zones to understand priorities, communicate status updates, and align BAU work with organizational goals. • Process & Standards: Establish best practices for production support, including documentation, root-cause analysis, and knowledge sharing across the team. • Workday Releases: Coordinate analysis, testing, and adoption of new Workday features, ensuring BAU activities incorporate release updates smoothly. • Innovation & Modernization: Introduce cloud-native practices, automation, and AI-driven approaches to streamline BAU processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve service quality. • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues and proactively develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence, improving system performance and user experience. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 5-7 years of hands-on experience performing Workday Financials configuration tasks (e.g., business processes, security roles, reporting, tenant setup). • Strong understanding of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement). • Technical proficiency in Workday integrations and reporting tools (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, calculated fields). • Proven experience managing production support and BAU activities in Workday or similar ERP systems. • Cloud-native orientation: experience working with cloud-based technologies and integration platforms. • Proven track record of driving innovation, including introducing new ideas, tools, or processes that enhance efficiency. • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies and their application to system support or process optimization. • Cloud-native orientation: experience working with cloud-based technologies and integration platforms. • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies and their application to system support or process optimization. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with Azure integration technologies (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus). • Experience with incident management frameworks (e.g., ITIL). • Exposure to Agile delivery practices and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow). • Experience applying AI-enhanced monitoring, analytics, or automation in enterprise support environments. Personal Attributes • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience directing teams of developers and analysts. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear, solution-focused updates for business stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
