Job Description: Education: N/A Licensure/Certification: Required: California Driver License if assigned to CC8443 EVS (Professional Office Buildings) Experience: Preferred: Housekeeping/janitorial/custodial floor care experience Reports To: Director or Manager Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Blood Borne Pathogens: Moderate Potential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to handle a fast-paced, varied and busy work environment, Ability to read supply, machinery and equipment labels, Good communication skills; teamwork philosophy, Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, procedures and products Essential Responsibilities 1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. 2. Hard floor care and maintenance, stripping, waxing. 3. Marble care, grinding and polishing. 4. Carpet care including vacuuming, extracting, bonnet, spot care and upholstery cleaning. 5. Performs surgical suite terminal cleans and maintains all completed documentation. 6. Handles all waste in accordance with hospital policies and maintains waste processing site cleat at all times. 7. Maintains soiled holding rooms on each nursing unit in accordance to policies and procedures. 8. Bails all boxes from assigned areas. 9. Cleans all associated ancillary areas of assigned patient care unit. 10. Responds to emergencies assigned by nursing, or through Environmental services Department. 11. Maintains adequate supplies to complete shift. 12. Cleans equipment/cart and closet at end of shift; returns all borrowed equipment. 13. Notifies EVS supervisor as rooms are ready for use. 14. Notifies EVS department secretary of any maintenance concerns. 15. Maintains assigned area in accordance to all departmental policies and procedures. 16. May be responsible for delivering supplies and equipment to various locations. 17. Assists with onboarding new employees as assigned. 18. Works in multiple locations as assigned. 19.
