Position Vacancy: Maintenance Technician Shift: Monday through Friday - 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Overall Responsibility: The Dwight Englewood School is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the upkeep, functionality, and safety of the school facilities. Your duties will include routine maintenance tasks such as repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment. In addition, the Maintenance Worker will be responsible for general repairs, carpentry work, and assisting with the overall cleanliness of the school premises. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Candidates with a background and experience in K-12 educational settings are preferred. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Vocational training or technical certifications preferred. • Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related field. • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair techniques. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Requirements: • Snow removal is required. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Uniform required (supplied by school). • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required. • Computer literacy skills including Excel, Word, Google Docs and Email are required.
