Position Name: Senior Engineering IT Program Manager – Systems Focus Location: Novi, Michigan - Onsite Organization: Diconium USA, Inc. Position Summary The Senior Engineering IT Program Manager – Systems Focus leads strategic initiatives at the intersection of R&D and IT within the automotive EV manufacturing domain. This role drives the integration of engineering systems and digital tools that enable innovation, efficiency, and excellence across global engineering and production teams. You will bring strong technical depth, a systems engineering mindset, and proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects under high-pressure timelines. You will operate with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach, shaping how engineering technology supports the entire EV development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Technical Leadership: Lead implementation and optimization of engineering IT systems (e.g., PLM, CAD, simulation platforms) to meet R&D and product development needs specific to EV programs. • Systems Engineering Integration: Apply systems engineering principles across development, deployment, and lifecycle management of engineering tools and platforms. • Program Management: Drive end-to-end execution, including planning, resourcing, risk management, and stakeholder communication, across multiple concurrent projects. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with global engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams to align initiatives with EV development goals. • Clean Sheet Approach: Champion new thinking and innovative methods in tool adoption and process design to support scalable, modern EV programs. • Agile Practices & Tooling: Utilize Jira for workflow and progress tracking; familiarity with Agile and SAFe frameworks is a plus. • Change Enablement: Lead change management and adoption strategies for new engineering technologies and processes. • Proactive Leadership: Anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across engineering IT initiatives. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Experience • Minimum 8 years in engineering or R&D environments, including 5+ years in IT project or program management. • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-stakes settings. • Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and their application to product development. • Hands-on experience with engineering IT systems (PLM, CAD, simulation, software development environments). • Proficiency with Jira for project management and collaboration. Preferred • Experience in automotive or EV manufacturing. • Certifications such as PMP, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). • Familiarity with cloud-based engineering platforms and digital transformation initiatives. Skills & Competencies • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of engineering systems and IT integration in product development environments. • Program Leadership: Ability to manage complex, multi-project portfolios with clarity and accountability. • Systems Thinking: Strong grasp of systems engineering principles applied to real-world R&D challenges. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders across global teams. • Collaboration: Skilled in cross-functional and multicultural team environments. • Agility: Adaptable, innovative, and proactive in managing change and driving improvement. Travel • Occasional travel required for cross-site coordination, vendor meetings, and collaboration with international teams. • Travel is estimated at up to 15%, depending on program needs. Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Standard office environment: use typical office equipment and sit or stand for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while traveling by car or airplane. Work Authorization • Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now, or in the future, require sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, F-1 OPT). • Proof of work authorization will be required upon hire. • Any change to work authorization status during employment must be disclosed immediately. Compensation • Salary Range: USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
