The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Information Technology Specialist II with experience in enterprise data architecture and modern cloud-based warehouse data solutions. If this is you, then CDI may be the employer for you! The IT Specialist II serves as the Senior Data Analyst for CDI Information Technology Division (ITD) within the Software Engineering and System Engineering domains. The incumbent is responsible for providing vision, leadership, analysis and design expertise in creating and executing an enterprise data strategy applying advanced technical understanding and knowledge of data modeling and data analysis principles to accommodate needs of the department. Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025 and related Pay Differential 386. PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits. Working Conditions • Work in a high-rise buildin g. • Ability to transport documents and/or equipment up to 15-20 lbs., i.e. laptop computers, files, reference manuals, solicitation documents, etc. • The incumbent may telework in accordance with CDIs Telework Policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
