The Opportunity: Definian is hiring an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will report to the Head of Finance and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee two team members from our international subsidiary and international accounting activities. What You’ll Be Doing: Maintain internal controls and support for financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP Collaborate with all departments to achieve streamlined and accurate reporting Oversee customer billing efforts to ensure proper and timely billing Process weekly payment batches with U.S. banks Supervise offshore finance staff to coordinate daily accounting activities Coordinate with offshore statutory accountants and reconcile report variances Maintain daily cash forecast – assist with 13-week forecast Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results Review/prepare monthly close reconciliations Prepare the monthly consolidated financial reports and variance analyses Assist with monthly reporting package to the private equity group and board of directors Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts Support the finance and operations integration efforts for acquisitions Assist with financial, insurance, tax and other audits and engagements Additional duties as needed based on business needs and candidate strengths What You’ll Bring to the Team: Bachelor’s degree in accounting 7+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience preferred and 2+ years in a supervisory role Knowledge of revenue recognition and international consolidated accounting practices Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team Proficient with accounting software and MS Office tools Highly organized and detail oriented Aptitude to drive advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) company initiatives Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities independently and exercise sound judgment Definian Perks & Benefits: Highly competitive compensation with annual bonus incentive 401K plan with company match Company paid individual health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage Four weeks of paid time off Ten company paid holidays Employee referral bonus Base salary range of $95,000-115,000, plus eligibility for annual performance bonus.
