Overview DecisionPoint seeks a Community Engagement Strategist to design and implement evidence-based outreach strategies that strengthen engagement across diverse audiences within a federal and DoD-aligned mission space. This role supports rapid program readiness by contributing to strategy, planning, and execution required for program launch within the first 30 days. The strategist will collaborate with communications, digital, analytics, and stakeholder engagement teams to integrate innovative engagement tactics, enhance community reach, and ensure all outreach is aligned with mission objectives and supported by data-driven insights. Duties & Responsibilities The Community Engagement Strategist will: • Develop evidence-based community outreach strategies aligned with program priorities. • Design innovative engagement tactics using behavioral insights, segmentation data, and user journey analysis. • Support 30-day program launch readiness by rapidly producing messaging, plans, calendars, and outreach workflows. • Build audience engagement frameworks, personas, and communication pathways to increase reach and participation. • Coordinate across PMO, outreach, analytics, and IT teams to ensure engagement activities are integrated and synchronized. • Develop engagement toolkits, templates, and messaging artifacts for consistent implementation. • Analyze audience feedback, sentiment, and behavioral indicators to adjust strategies. • Maintain community calendars, program directories, and content workflows related to engagement. • Produce executive-level briefings, findings, and recommendations. • Ensure all engagement efforts follow accessibility, quality, and compliance standards. Qualifications Clearance Requirement Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. Education (Required) BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Social Impact, Public Policy, UX/HCD, Behavioral Science, or a related field. Experience (Required) • Minimum 7 years of experience in community engagement, outreach strategy, behavioral insights, or public-facing communications. • Experience supporting program launches, rapid-start initiatives, or multi-stakeholder environments. • Demonstrated ability to build data-informed engagement strategies and measurement plans. Technical Knowledge (Required) • Knowledge of engagement frameworks, segmentation models, and behavioral science applications. • Familiarity with digital engagement platforms, audience analytics, and stakeholder mapping. • Understanding of content planning, messaging alignment, and outreach workflows. Technical Knowledge (Preferred) • Experience in DoD or large federal communications programs. • Exposure to human-centered design (HCD) or service design practices. Skills • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to translate insights into actionable engagement strategies. • Skilled at cross-team collaboration and stakeholder communication. • Strong problem solving, adaptability, and execution discipline.
