Software Engineer (Mid) Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineer to support a full-time, on-site role focused on modern software development, DevSecOps practices, and cloud-based environments. This position works in a secure closed-area environment and emphasizes automation, CI/CD, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality software capabilities. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain software using modern DevSecOps pipelines. • Support automated builds, deployments, scanning, and quality gates. • Collaborate with engineering and DevSecOps teams to streamline processes. • Create and maintain CI pipelines, build scripts, and deployment automation. • Work 100% on-site in a secure, closed-area environment. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 4 Years with Masters; 2 Years with PhD • Must be able to acquire a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 60 days from the start date (ex: Security + CE) • Experience developing object oriented software in C++, Java, Python • Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools and pipelines • Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Coverity, etc. • Recent Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud • Recent Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services • Communicates effectively, both internally and externally to team • US Citizenship, with a active DoD Secret clearance • Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs • Prior experience working using DOORS • Prior experience using Atlassian Tools • Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices • Prior experience as a Product Owner • Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo • Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis
