Remote, 50-75% travel to North Central territory (WI, MN, WY, MT, Dakotas) Requirements: experience with electric utility automation, consultative sales and business development Pay and Benefits: $110-120k base + commission/bonus and extensive benefits package Position Overview We are a stable and thriving electric utility automation solutions provider with multiple corporate facilities serving clients nationwide. Due to our continued growth we are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Electric Utility Automation, covering our North Central territory made up of 6 states. The RSM is responsible for driving sales growth and business development within the electric utility sector. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients, understanding their automation needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business goals in the electric utility automation sector. • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the electric utility market. • Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized automation solutions and presentations to prospective clients. • Conduct product demonstrations at trade shows and customer sites to showcase automation capabilities. • Negotiate contracts and agreements in alignment with company policies and procedures. • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and manage the sales pipeline. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. • 3+ years in consultative, technical sales, preferably in automation or the electric utility sector. • Strong understanding of substation operations and automation technologies. • Demonstrated skills in business development and consultative sales techniques. • Excellent communication and relationship development skills. • Ability to conduct effective product demonstrations and presentations to diverse audiences. • Experience in contract negotiation and solution sales is highly desirable.
