Established (100+ years) Premier Firm Seeking Healthcare Transactional Attorney (Remote or Hybrid CA) An established national firm with over 100 years in practice is seeking a Healthcare Transactional Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its growing team. This position is part of the firm's remote-first structure, allowing attorneys to work from anywhere, with the option to work in one of the firm's eight California offices. Attorneys who prefer an office environment may work 3 or more days per week and will have their own dedicated workspace. This role provides the opportunity to advise hospitals, healthcare districts, clinics, physician groups, vendors, and other providers on a broad range of transactional, compliance, and operational matters. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience drafting and negotiating complex healthcare agreements, managing acquisitions and affiliations, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Offer Salary range: $137,000-$200,000 depending on experience 1850 billable requirement (includes 50 pro bono hours) Annual bonus tied to class year (approx. $2,500-$15,000 for early years) Discretionary merit bonuses based on performance and business development (approx. $5,000-$50,000+) 401(k) plan with 3.5-4% annual firm contribution (historically given every year for 30+ years) Medical (firm pays portion), dental, and vision insurance Pet insurance available Firm-hosted lunches, holiday events, and periodic in-person gatherings Fully remote flexibility with optional hybrid work Qualifications 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience in healthcare transactions at a law firm or in-house with a provider Strong Background Drafting And Negotiating • Physician and professional services agreements (including medical director and call coverage agreements) • Vendor and operations contracts (e.g., management, billing, telehealth, procurement) • Entity formation and transaction documents for acquisitions, sales, affiliations, and joint ventures Deep familiarity with federal and state fraud and abuse laws, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act Excellent drafting, project management, and client service skills Active California Bar membership Preferred Experience Knowledge of HIPAA, EMTALA, and corporate practice of medicine rules Experience representing hospitals, public agencies, or public health systems Responsibilities Draft and negotiate a wide range of operational and transactional agreements for health care clients Advise clients on structuring compliant acquisitions, affiliations, and joint ventures Ensure compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws and corporate practice restrictions Counsel Clients On Privacy, Security, And Other Regulatory Requirements Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to deliver comprehensive client solutions across health care disciplines Email Your Resume In Word To Looking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
