Key Responsibilities • Insurance verification. • Collect and post payments; follow up on past due balances per management and billing team direction. • Maintain an organized and tidy workspace. • Answer a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and warmth. • Schedule evaluations and treatment appointments. • Guide families through the new patient intake process. • Optimize therapist schedules for efficiency. • Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, clinic policies, and treatment needs. • Maintain cleanliness and order in treatment and waiting areas. • Adapt to changing priorities and varying volumes of work under pressure. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities. • Uphold a team-player mentality and contribute positively to team morale. • Enforce clinic policies and HIPAA regulations. • Address complaints or concerns with professionalism and tact. • Provide a welcoming and friendly front-line presence. • Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction. Qualification and Skill Requirements • High school diploma required. • At least one year of experience in a medical or therapy office setting. • Demonstrated excellence in customer service. • Knowledge of medical terminology. • Preferred: 1+ year of insurance verification and benefit explanation. • Experience with and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the front office and clinic areas for extended periods. • Ability to work at a computer station for prolonged durations. • May be required to lift to a minimum of 25 pounds.
