Head of Operations & Investments The Head of Operations & Investments owns and scales the core infrastructure that powers Crowdsurf’s investment platform - overseeing internal operations, fund and SPV execution, and the systems that connect individuals to capital. About Crowdsurf Crowdsurf is building a new model for investing in people. Crowdsurf is a platform that enables investors to back exceptional individuals by funding them through long-term holding companies that encompass everything they build over a set period of time. We identify high-potential individuals, help them set up a HoldCo, and fund them through two capital sources: • Crowdsurf Fund I (institutional capital), and • Crowdsurf SPVs (accredited investor capital raised through the Crowdsurf platform). Crowdsurf (the company) runs the operational engine that sources individuals, vets them, onboards them, and builds the investor demand to fund them. We just raised a $1m pre-seed round and are looking to expand the team. This roles main KPI is to fund as many high-quality individuals as possible. We’re now hiring someone to build, manage, and scale the infrastructure that makes this entire ecosystem work. This role is ideal for someone who loves building systems, managing people, and creating order out of chaos. You need to be a proactive problem solver and do-er who takes complete ownership of his domain. You’ll oversee the two critical funnels that drive Crowdsurf: • Individuals - sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and preparing them for funding. • Investors - ensuring a warm, accredited investor base is ready to support each launch. You’ll have support across these functions: • Juniors helping with outreach, communications, content, and CRM upkeep. • A marketing agency generating investor interest and inbound accredited leads. • Legal/accounting partners for compliance and documentation. Your job is to design the infrastructure, manage it, and make sure it all moves smoothly. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full pipeline of individuals - from sourcing and outreach to interviews, screening, qualification, and onboarding. • Build and maintain the internal systems that enable scalable sourcing, AI-driven interviews, structured evaluation, onboarding workflows, and compliance tracking. • Oversee the investor funnel - coordinating with performance marketing agencies and ensuring leads are nurtured and prepared to participate in platform raises. • Manage juniors supporting both funnels to ensure outreach, communications, content, and CRM upkeep are executed at a high standard. • Coordinate with legal and accounting partners as individuals progress through qualification, onboarding, and documentation. • Oversee each individual’s ongoing compliance checklist, ensuring their HoldCos remain properly structured and up to date. • Serve as the operational bridge between Crowdsurf’s funnels and Crowdsurf Fund I, aligning on timing, readiness, and capital coordination. • Collaborate with the Platform Engineering Lead to ensure all operational workflows translate cleanly into platform functionality and SPV mechanics. • Own the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of Crowdsurf’s internal infrastructure across sourcing, investor readiness, communication, and compliance. • Ensure a steady flow of high-quality, well-prepared individuals reaching funding readiness - and a strong base of accredited investors ready to support them. Who You Are • You are entrepreneurial and a proactive problem solver/do-er who takes complete ownership of his domain without needing constant direction. • Thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy managing multiple parts of a complex machine. • Experience in startup operations, VC/PE operations support, or similar multi-hat roles. • Systems-driven - you like building workflows, solving bottlenecks, and making processes scalable leveraging modern tools. • You ask and answer your own questions, and have confidence acting on your own convictions. • Strong attention to detail and high ownership. • Comfortable managing juniors, contractors, and external agencies. • Familiar with tools like HubSpot, Notion, Zapier, AI-adjacent tools and more. • Wants to be part of a fun culture that creates memorable and unique experiences for all team members. • Bonus if you live in the Nashville area.
