Retail Business Development Manager – East Region (Remote) Premium Food & Beverage | Retail Grocery Sales Travel: 50–75% across the Eastern U.S. A premium food manufacturer is expanding rapidly in the U.S. market and seeking a Retail Business Development Manager to help drive retail growth across the Eastern/Mid Atlantic U.S. This role will focus on opening new grocery accounts, strengthening relationships with existing partners, and increasing consumer awareness of a high-quality product line in the premium prepared gourmet food category. This is a remote position covering all states in the Eastern and Mid-Atlantic Region, with significant travel required. Key Responsibilities • Open new retail grocery accounts across the Eastern U.S. • Manage and grow existing relationships with both retailers and distributor partners • Prioritize direct retail engagement, taking full ownership of accounts and performance • Lead in-store product demos, sampling, and events to build trial and awareness • Collaborate with brokers and retail buyers to optimize product placement • Use vendor portals and analytics tools to track performance and guide strategy • Serve as a key field voice for market insights, trends, and opportunities Ideal Candidate • 7–10 years of experience in retail grocery sales or business development • Proven success in opening new accounts and building a territory • Experience with East Coast regional and national retailers (e.g., Acme Markets/Albertsons, Wegmans, Giant Food, Publix, Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, Food Lion) • Background in premium food sales including deli • Strong broker and HQ buyer engagement experience • Self-driven and highly organized, capable of managing a large territory remotely • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Comfortable with 50–75% travel throughout the Eastern U.S.
