Design and maintain Python backend services and React/TypeScript frontends deployed on GCP with Docker and Terraform infrastructure management.
2-5 years software engineering experience with strong Python backend, TypeScript/React frontend, GCP deployment, Docker, Terraform, and cloud-native application skills.
Full Stack Engineer, TrustFoundry.ai AI is transforming everything, yet it still fails at the most fundamental requirement: understanding and respecting the law. TrustFoundry is fixing that. We’re building the legal intelligence engine that will power trustworthy AI — a system that delivers accurate, traceable legal search across federal, state, and case law, and exposes every citation, passage, and lineage for machine consumption. Our mission is to eliminate hallucinated legal answers and make the world’s laws accessible to both humans and intelligent agents. If you want to help define how AI interacts with the real world — and prevent the real-world consequences of bad legal reasoning — this is the place to do it. We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to build, scale, and evolve the core application layer of our legal intelligence platform. You will work across the stack — from Python-based backend services to TypeScript/React front-end interfaces — all deployed on a modern GCP, Docker, and Terraform-managed environment. You’ll help shape user-facing features, data-backed services, and internal tooling that makes complex legal information intelligible, explorable, and trustworthy. What You’ll Do Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python, supporting high-integrity legal search and analysis workflows. Build intuitive, performant React/TypeScript front-end experiences that surface complex legal data with clarity and transparency. Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on GCP, using managed services such as Cloud Run/Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery or analogous components. Use Docker to manage multi-service development environments and troubleshoot containerized builds, runtime issues, and cross-service interactions. Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, CI/CD, and application runtime resources. Collaborate closely with data engineering, ML, and product teams to integrate backend systems with evolving data models, retrieval services, and AI-driven components. Implement engineering best practices for reliability, security, performance, observability, and developer experience. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to navigate codebases, accelerate implementation, and debug complex issues across the stack. What We’re Looking For Strong experience building backend services in Python (REST/GraphQL APIs, web frameworks, service design). Solid hands-on experience with TypeScript and React, including component design, state management, bundling, and front-end performance patterns. Practical experience deploying and operating applications on GCP, ideally with Cloud Run/Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, or similar services. Proficiency with Docker for local development, containerization patterns, and debugging multi-container issues. Working knowledge of Terraform and cloud infrastructure-as-code practices. Familiarity with modern application practices (e.g., CI/CD, testing frameworks, API design, observability tools, security best practices). Ability to work with complex or unstructured domain data and surface it through intuitive application experiences. Comfort working independently, owning features end-to-end, and contributing across multiple layers of the stack. Experience using AI-assisted development or analysis tools is a plus. Overall 2 to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience. You Are Someone Who Is: Curious and investigative: enjoys understanding how systems work and how users interact with them. Systematic and disciplined: cares deeply about correctness, reliability, and crafting high-quality software. Self-directed and accountable: comfortable driving major features from idea to deployment in a fast-moving environment. Join us in making legal information searchable, verifiable, and accessible to all!—apply today.
