The BI Analyst will create dashboards and actionable insights from data, maintain the KPI dictionary, and summarize key metrics for leadership. They will also collaborate with Tech Solutions to ensure data quality and governance.
Candidates should have 4-7+ years of experience in BI/analytics, with proficiency in enterprise BI tools and SQL. Strong storytelling and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
About the role Core Education is building a single, trusted view of performance across our partners. As our BI Analyst, you turn that trusted data into clear dashboards and simple, actionable insights. You’ll own the KPI dictionary, build executive and team views on top of our governed data models, and summarize “what moved and what to do next” for leadership. You’ll work closely with your team in Revenue Solutions, as well as interfacing with Tech Solutions—the team that runs the data pipelines, models, and governance—so every decision runs on one source of truth. What you'll do KPI dictionary & thresholds — Publish and maintain the official list of metrics (owner, definition, calculation, and green / yellow / red thresholds) so everyone speaks the same language. Dashboards & scorecards — Build and iterate The Leveler (our executive and operator dashboards) that answer four questions at a glance: Are we healthy? Where is risk? What moved? What’s next? Ensure the right people see the right data using RowLevel Security (RLS). Insights & narratives — Package monthly/quarterly briefs and QBR/EBR content that translate metrics into decisions and next actions. Forecasts & experiments — Create simple forecast scenarios (within agreed accuracy bands) and help design/read experiments so we can reallocate effort and spend based on evidence. Quality & governance (analyst lens) — Sanitycheck data fitness before anything goes to executives; if definitions or freshness look off, flag and track issues with Tech Solutions until resolved. Automation assist — Use governed datasets and templates to autogenerate weekly executive updates and partner facing tiles (PXP) wherever practical. Qualifications Experience: 4–7+ years in BI/analytics with a track record of building executive dashboards and operator consoles that drive decisions. BI & SQL: Proficiency in enterprise BI (Power BI or equivalent), including DAX and RLS; solid SQL; comfortable working on top of governed semantic models. Storytelling: You can explain complex metrics in plain language and recommend next best actions. Collaboration: You partner smoothly with engineering (Tech Solutions), security, finance, and delivery, document clearly, and work in a Jira driven cadence. Nice to have: Microsoft Fabric/OneLake; exposure to marketing/enrollment/RevOps, contact center and web analytics; basic Python; catalog/lineage tools (e.g., Purview). How We’ll Measure Success Adoption: ≥ 90% of weekly executive meetings use the Leveler/PXP views you curate; decision cycle time (“time to green”) improves quarter over quarter. Quality: Forecast accuracy (MAPE) within ±10–15% on agreed funnels; zero conflicting KPI definitions in circulation. Reliability (shared): Executive visuals are current; issues are triaged with Tech Solutions and resolved within 24 hours for critical views. Automation: ≥ 80% of recurring status artifacts are autogenerated from governed datasets/templates. Work Style We value small, high leverage releases, clear documentation, and audit ready decisions. You’ll help convert plans into operating habit—through trustworthy dashboards and concise decision briefs.
