Manager, Controls Engineering (Gimbal systems) Direct Hire Carson, CA Work Onsite Salary Target $160k+ bonus Job Description: This is a hands-on engineering leadership role leading a small engineering team in what feels like a startup. They are innovating hardware, software, and integrated control systems within UAV's. Lead the PX4 and Platform engineering team. Will design, implement and validate control loops and gimbal systems and VTOL platforms, set architecture, while also defining embedded software best practices. Participate in the end-to-end new gimbal products design and integration. Team is 3 people, which will double in size over the next several months. Required Experience: • Controls Systems Engineering experience • Embedded Software Engineering experience with Robotics • Strong C++ coding experience (C++14/17/20) • Mavlink (software for Gimbal) • PX4 (library for Mavlink software) • 3D Kinematics, coordinate frames, quaternions and homogeneous transforms • Experience in attitude controls, sensor fusion, and target tracking • Sensors experience with IMU's, encoders and systems control loops • 1+ year experience as a technical lead • Bachelors Degree in engineering, math or similar related area Bonus / Soft Skills: • PX4 Flight Stack • Simulation & URDF • RTOS experience • Hardware debugging Welcome to ConsultNet and the family of companies, Tekne, SaltClick, TechBridge, and OmniMedia.
