Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources/Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and human resources functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction across our organization. Duties • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements. • Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and compliance with applicable laws. • Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information System) records to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. • Perform account reconciliation tasks related to payroll, benefits, and general ledger entries using accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft. • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and vendor payments. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing payroll taxes accurately and on time. • Conduct data entry for employee records, payroll adjustments, and benefits information with high precision. • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing HR initiatives to foster a positive work environment. • Collaborate with finance teams on journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation related to payroll activities. • Analyze payroll data for discrepancies or trends; prepare reports for management review. Experience • Proven experience managing payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos or similar platforms in a fast-paced environment. • Strong knowledge of payroll management processes combined with familiarity in HRIS systems like UltiPro or PeopleSoft. • Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and bookkeeping practices. • Experience working with benefits administration programs and governmental reporting requirements. • Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools. • Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards is a plus but not required. • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. • Strong understanding of tax regulations related to payroll and employee compensation. • Ability to perform detailed data entry tasks such as 10 key typing with precision under tight deadlines. • Effective communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving within human resources and finance functions.
