Residential Construction Project Manager – Overview Join a dynamic and growing team as a Residential Construction Project Manager, where your leadership and technical expertise will directly drive the success of high-quality residential projects. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will oversee every phase of construction, from pre-planning through final completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Your ability to lead teams, manage details, and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors will be critical to success. Key Responsibilities • Plan, lead, and coordinate all aspects of residential construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. • Develop detailed project schedules and execution plans using construction management and scheduling software (such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid). • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, scopes of work, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project designs. • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to maintain seamless communication and workflow. • Oversee daily site operations, enforcing safety standards and quality control at every stage of construction. • Track project progress, changes, and documentation using platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam. • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure compliance with specifications. • Prepare detailed project reports covering schedules, costs, milestones, and risk mitigation. • Maintain direct communication with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure their vision is executed successfully. Required Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience managing residential construction sites with strong blueprint and schematic interpretation skills. • Proficiency in construction estimating and bidding software such as HeavyBid or equivalent platforms. • Strong project scheduling and workflow management experience using Primavera P6 or similar tools. • Advanced knowledge of construction documentation and communication platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam. • Ability to accurately interpret contracts, technical drawings, schematics, and digital models including Civil 3D. • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to oversee multiple active projects under tight deadlines. • Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating teams, negotiating with vendors, and working directly with homeowners. • Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices to maintain a secure jobsite.
