GENERAL MANAGER Residential Care Homes – Strong HR & People Leadership Role $25.50–$33/hr (DOE) Full-Time Salary After 90 Days Sacramento, CA (Local Applicants Only) We are a growing residential care organization seeking a strong Operations Manager/General Manager to lead multiple small care homes. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate has strong Human Resources and people leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain operations across all homes. After training, this position must be able to perform caregiving responsibilities to support staffing gaps and emergencies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES People Leadership & HR • Lead and support caregiving staff across all homes • Handle hiring, onboarding, coaching, corrective action, and terminations • Maintain accurate HR files and performance documentation • Strengthen culture, communication, and accountability Operations Oversight • creating a system to maintain a safe, clean, and consistent company standard • Coordinate maintenance, supplies, and vendors • Support opening of new homes and new systems (including EMR) Staffing & Coverage • owning full staffing and scheduling needs, including gaps in coverage and emergencies • Maintain regular communication with teams • strong understanding and support with Payroll systems Caregiving Competency (Required After Training) • Perform full ADLs, transfers, mobility assistance, and personal care • Support meals, routines, and emergency needs • Train caregivers once competent Compliance & Documentation • Ensure shift notes, logs, and reports are completed properly • Support incident reviews and licensing compliance REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Strong HR background (hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, corrective action) • Proven leadership experience (supervisor, manager, HR specialist, GM, etc.) • Conflict-resolution and communication skills • Experience with staffing, scheduling, or shift coverage • Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation • Must live near Sacramento 95826 / Carmichael (rapid response required) • Ability to perform full caregiving duties after training PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED) • Residential care / assisted living/dementia care experience • Experience supporting an ED, Administrator, or owner • EMR experience • RCFE Administrator certificate (or willingness to complete within 90 days) • Managing a multi-site business PAY & SCHEDULE • $25.50–$33/hr DOE • Transition to salary after 90 days • Full-time, flexible schedule • Includes some evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities FIRST 90 DAYS – SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Strong rapport with staff and consistent leadership presence • HR documentation is organized and compliant • Competent in full ADLs (Activites of daily living) and caregiving tasks • Confident handling of emergencies, call-offs, and daily operations • Learning upholding company culture, and company policies and procedures Pay: $25.50 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid orientation • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Referral program • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
