The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of annuity External Wholesalers, with a focus on hiring, training, and leading them to grow sales of annuity products in the independent channel. This role requires a professional with a strong background in annuity sales management, particularly within wholesaling organizations, and a deep understanding of variable annuities and fixed indexed annuities. The DVP will be tasked with recruiting, developing, and leading individual External Wholesalers, as well as managing the region to meet specific sales goals. The position demands exceptional communication, organizational, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and motivate a team. Applicants for the DVP position must have a minimum of 15 years of industry experience, with a significant portion in the independent channel. The role involves extensive travel and the development of comprehensive business plans and expense budgets for the assigned region. The DVP will also be responsible for networking with centers of influence and driving relationships with key broker/dealers. Required licenses include life and annuity licenses for the resident state, FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, and Series 26 or 24 (preferred or to be obtained within the first 6 months). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, the ability to operate within an established expense budget, and a strong network within the industry.
