Corporate Controller – Manufacturing About the Role Our client, a proven and established manufacturer, is seeking a strong Corporate Controller to join their team! This individual will serve as the senior accounting leader for the organization, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, strengthening financial controls, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will partner closely with cross-functional leadership to support strategic growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations • Lead all core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial activity in accordance with GAAP. • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team supporting multiple business lines. • Collaborate with leadership across operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive financial insight and process optimization. Month-End & Reporting • Direct the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and preparation of timely financial statements. • Perform variance analysis and provide clear, actionable financial commentary to leadership. • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance. Year-End & Planning • Lead the annual close and coordinate all external audit activities. • Oversee tax compliance and filings in partnership with external tax providers. • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or Master’s degree strongly preferred. • Strong technical accounting background with deep knowledge of GAAP. • Proven experience leading accounting operations in a multi-entity environment; manufacturing or consumer products experience preferred. • High proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel required; experience with modern BI and data platforms a plus. • Background supporting consumer-facing, retail, or omni-channel business models highly desirable. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
