As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced PLANT SUPERINTENDENT - C CREW (FRIDAY and SATURDAY 6 AM to 4:30 PM and SUNDAY and MONDAY 6 PM to 4:30 AM). We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, highly disciplined, high-energy, and “hands-on” PLANT SUPERINTENDENT with plant manufacturing leadership experience in either production operations and/or materials. Experience in third-party logistics and/or the automotive industry is highly preferred. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • Reports directly to the Plant Manager. • Strong leadership skills managing salaried and hourly employees. • Create direction for departments by having daily and weekly meetings with the direct reports. • Maintain and improve employee morale by facilitating team building and communication within the department. • Direct, coordinate, and assign work activities to all employees under supervision in facility and monitor, review and evaluate work product, methods, and procedures of those employees. • Understanding of lean processing principles. • Responsible for driving continuous improvement. • Establish and maintain effective KPI's, monitors performance and initiates improvement opportunities. • Exceeds client-customer expectations. • Promote and maintain a safe working environment. • Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test, and make adjustments. • Enforce company policies/procedures and corresponding work instructions. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management and/or Engineering is preferred. • A minimum of five plus (5+) years of Plant Management experience. • Automotive and/or Third-Party Logistics experience is required. • Value Add Assembly and manufacturing experience are highly desirable. • Strong knowledge and experience of problem-solving using Root Cause Analysis and etc. • Knowledge of Materials Systems as SAP experience is highly desirable. • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Processing Principles. • Must be Process and Data-Driven. • Strong Customer Interfacing Skills. • Demonstrated successes related to Start-Up, Launching Operations, and/or Turnarounds. • Must be flexible to work different shifts/hours based on business demands. • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. • Logistics/Supply Chain background to include proficiency in Third Party Services including Part Sequencing, JIT, Value-Added, Sub-Assembly, Kitting, Repack, Deconsolidation, and Bulk and Small Lot Metering.
