Position Summary: The Committee for Early Childhood Development D.C.C. Inc/Head Start is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support program directors and the Executive Director in ensuring smooth program operations. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative tasks, maintain confidentiality, and show a strong desire to work with low-income children and their families. Job Title: Administrative Assistant Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000. to $50,000. per year Qualifications: · Minimum - Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field. · Minimum of two years of experience in an office setting. · Ability to type at least 80 words per minute. · Familiarity with general office procedures and strong command of grammar and punctuation. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Word Perfect 9.0. · Physical examination and TB screening documentation are required upon hire. · Reliable means of transportation. · Must have an interest in ongoing training and professional development. · Passion for serving low-income children and their families. · Good work ethics and dedication to the program. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: · Assist program directors and Executive Director with various administrative tasks. · Collect and compile grant renewal documents. · Take minutes during meetings and maintain accurate records. · Track and consolidate monthly program manager reports for submission to the Board of Directors and parent board. · Manage and update agency forms and distribute mail. Human Resources: · Maintain confidential employee files and ensure compliance with documentation requirements. · Oversee the on-boarding process for new staff, including paperwork and medical records. · Maintain various data base for accurate information and easy retrieval. · Comply with all DOHMH and OHS standards for staff clearance and qualifications. · Post job vacancies and coordinate interview scheduling. · Nutrition Content Area Supervision: · Ensure compliance with local Department of Health policies, Head Start standards, and CACFP requirements. · Monitor kitchen operations, ensuring sanitation standards and proper food storage. · Collaborate with the nutrition consultant and Executive Director on menu planning. · Maintain accurate CACFP records, including meal counts. · Evaluate nutrition staff performance biannually. · Work Environment: · Fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on providing quality services to children and families.
